Story
Nova Edventures was founded in 2025 by two higher education faculty members driven by a shared mission: to reimagine global travel as a powerful tool for learning, connection, and growth. With over 15 years of experience supporting students, we saw a growing demand for international experiences that offered more than classroom learning—students wanted opportunities to deeply engage with global issues, work with local organizations, and conduct meaningful research. They also wanted time to explore the culture, food, and beauty of each destination.
As a learner-tourism company, Nova Edventures bridges that gap by designing immersive, purpose-driven journeys that combine academic exploration with cultural engagement. Our programs connect travelers with community partners to learn through hands-on experiences while making international travel seamless, supported, and transformative.

Dr. Elizabeth Colón is an educator, researcher, and travel enthusiast who believes the world is the most powerful classroom. With a background in educational psychology and a passion for experiential learning, she has led research-focused courses globally—helping students explore global issues while immersing themselves in new cultures.
Christopher Walther, MS
Co-Founder
Christopher Walther brings his love of culture, conversation, and curiosity to every corner of the globe. With a background in psychology and over a decade of leading immersive travel courses to destinations like Fiji, South Africa, and beyond, he's passionate about turning every trip into a transformative learning experience.
